NOTICE: Statewide Rollback to Phase 3, Step 1 (effective 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, December 13):
In addition, the following updates to capacity limits will go into effect:
- Outdoor gatherings at event venues and public spaces to 50 people
- Outdoor Theaters and Performance Venues to 25% and no more than 50 people
- Close Indoor Theaters and Performance Venues and a few smaller indoor recreation businesses like roller rinks and trampoline parks
- Reduce capacity from 50% to 40% for several industry sectors noted below:
- Arcades/Indoor and Outdoor Recreational Businesses
- Driving and Flight Schools
- Gyms/Health Clubs
- Libraries
- Museums
- Retail
- Offices
- Places of Worship
- Lodging (common areas)
- Golf
- Movie theaters (no more than 50 people per theater)
Restaurants and Event Venues Protocols Updates: The following updates will be made to restaurant and event venue protocols with regard to face coverings, seating, and performances
- Wear masks at all times except when eating and drinking
- Seat no more than six per table and encourage customers to only dine with same household
- Put a 90-minute time limit on tables
- Prohibit all musical performances at restaurants
- Close food court seating
Workplaces and Fitness Centers Protocols Updates: The following updates will be made to the Office Spaces and Fitness Centers protocols with regard to face coverings
- Require mask wearing in offices when not in your own workspace and alone
- Require mask wearing at all times in gyms
- Encourage teleworking

NOTICE: Effective December 7, 2020, the Town of Barnstable must revert to step 1 of phase 3 of the Commonwealth’s reopening plan, as outlined in COVID-19 order 56. The order specifies that a community must revert to step 1 of phase 3 if it is designated in the “red” category for three consecutive Department of Public Health weekly reports.
The following types of businesses are prohibited from operating during step 1 of phase 3: indoor theaters and performance venues, roller skating rinks, trampoline parks, obstacle courses, laser tag and escape rooms.
The following types of businesses must reduce capacity to 40% (currently 50%) when operating during step 1 of phase 3: driving/flight schools, gyms, libraries, museums, arcades, and lower contact indoor and outdoor recreation businesses.
During step 1, outdoor gatherings at event venues and in public settings are limited to 50 people.
During step 1, outdoor theater and performance venues may operate at 25% capacity, but no more than 50 people.

Temporary Outdoor Business Guidelines & Application
Governor Baker announced over the weekend that Phase 2 Step 1 begins today.
Lodging, Outdoor Dining, Retail and Galleries, Child Care, Day Camps and Youth Sports can reopen Monday, June 8th. Before reopening, businesses must:
.• Meet all safety standards
• Create a Covid-19 Control Plan
• Complete a self-certification
Additionally, the following elective, non-urgent medical care is allowed beginning Monday: Routine office visits; Dental visits; Vision care; In-person behavioral health treatment. All protocols and resources can be found at mass.gov/reopening
