The Town of Barnstable invites interested individu

The Town of Barnstable invites interested individuals to attend a public informational meeting regarding planned improvements to the Scudder’s Lane Boat Ramp.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide stakeholders an opportunity to review and comment on updated plans for the project, as well as to discuss the project schedule. The Town of Barnstable is requesting applications

The Town of Barnstable is requesting applications for Opioid Abatement funding from public or private, state and federally recognized nonprofit organizations, agencies, partnerships, or other interested parties to provide services, programs, or initiatives that will mitigate the impacts of the Opioid epidemic.

The Town of Barnstable will issue one-year grants of up to $50,000. Grants must be applied for each year. Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Organizations selected for funding will enter into a contract with the Town of Barnstable to deliver the programs and services outlined in the application. The contractual start date is expected to be January 1, 2025.

The Economic Development program provides professional staff support to implement the Town’s economic development plan. There are great commercial areas throughout the town that suit every business sector’s needs. Specific activities include promoting Hyannis’ revitalization, collaboration with the Hyannis Area and Cape Cod Chambers of Commerce, the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District, planning and study initiatives for Route 132 Regional Commercial area and corridor, Hyannis Harbor and Route 28 corridor.
